URGENT! Puppies w/ blockage need immediate surgery

  • Name: Pit Puppies
  • Color: Brown
  • Size: Medium
  • Age: Baby

$3,475.00 raised of $8,000.00

Mutt Hut Rescue received a call about a litter of puppies living in unimaginable conditions after an irresponsible backyard breeder no longer wanted to take care of them. Luckily, all of the pups were rescued, were able to receive medical treatment, and were placed in foster homes.

Two of the puppies are currently living in the the same foster home, waiting for their furever family. They unfortunately decided to do what puppies do best and chew & shred their toys. They were taken to the vet, and it was discovered they both had a major blockage that would require immediate removal surgery. Blockages are extremely dangerous, so they will be going into surgery as soon as possible. The rescue received an estimate from the vet, and the approximate costs is around $8,000 for both surgeries. This is way out of Mutt Hut's current financial abilities, but we refuse to let the dogs suffer because of it, so we will be pursuing the surgeries. Surgery now, pay later. Your help is needed to help us pay off the $8,000.00 vet bill we have accrued. We are forever grateful.

  • All puppies are doing great. Almost fully recovered. Eating has been slow and the puppies have lost a lot of weight, but they are getting back to being puppies and enjoying eating after their intestinal surgeries. Thank you t everyone who has helped with donations to pay off the $8,000.00 vet bill and for the supples donated.

  • PUPDATE: We are beyond thankful to say that the surgeries went well, and the two pups are healing and on the mend. Unfortunately for Rosie, the blockage was so extensive that it was ripping her stomach. It was severely impacted, and the surgeon could not pull it out because it would rip her intestines. They will both be closely monitored during and after their healing process.

Mutt Hut needs your support now more than ever. Please consider donating to their recovery or sending them some items from their wishlist.
