is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

We received an urgent request to help a puppy that was discovered in an apartment after the tenants moved out. It's believed this puppy has been by himself since the people moved out at the end of June... almost two weeks ago! It's a little boy who is obviously severely underweight.

When we got him outside, he wanted to eat rocks! We're heartbroken and sad, but he's getting vet care. Please, PLEASE help us take care of him and donate to help save him! No amount is too small...

  • Look who's enjoying a little pool time! It's BUGSY!! He continues to slowly put on weight and is getting healthier and healthier! Such a cute and adorable pup!

  • The vet staff LOVE this little guy! They have named him BUGSY due to his eyes, so welcome to Dallas DogRRR Bugsy!

Like any puppy, Bugsy was a sweet boy and let the vet staff handle him. It's like he knew they were there to help. He scored a 1 out of 5 for body weight... he's 8.4 pounds. And at between 4-5 months, that's simply way to low :( His temperature is over 104 degrees, so we're hoping now that he has some food and water in him that will come down, but that's still a concern we need to watch. He's FULL of hookworms which explains his anemic state. His stool sample also had glitter in it, so undoubtedly he was trying to eat anything he could get his mouth on. You'd think his appetite for food would be to woof it down, but he's not quite there. He's on a series of meds (including de-wormer) to try to help stabilize him, but he's been conditionally released to help him rest and recover. Yay!

The police are investigating and are looking to gather the tenant's information from the lease in order to file charges against Bugsy's owner. We're hopeful something comes of this and we will update with any information we are provided. But, we have been awarded custody of Bugsy and will obviously document and provide information for the investigation.
