is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

Crippled and Severely Emaciated Dog Needs Help!

  • Breed: Rat Terrier
  • Name: Dominique
  • Color: Salt & Pepper
  • Size: Small
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Senior

This little senior, who we have named Dominique, was found along the Ken-Tenn Hwy in Union City, TN in danger of being struck by a vehicle. He is crippled with arthritis and is extremely emaciated.

He weighs less than 9 pounds, less than half the weight he should be. Dominique has severe skin issues caused by allergies. The vets have given him an injection for it, along with flea and tick medication. He will need to go back to have a number of rotten teeth removed and a dental cleaning when he is stronger. One of Dominique's front paws is turned out to the side and swollen, along with having other joint issues as well. He gets around by walking on the side of his foot, which causes it to get irritated and sore. We are hoping to raise enough money to get this sweet boy to a specialist to see if he can be made more comfortable with some boots or a wheelchair to help him get around more easily. Dominique will require a high quality diet and special care to see him through his recovery.

There is nothing that can be done about the deformities from his arthritis, as it has been going on for a long time. However, he is in good spirits and happy to be in a loving foster home, safe again. Dominique is feeling better after getting out of the heat and getting some fluids. The day of rescue, he ate three packs of Little Caesar wet food, 1-1/2 cups of dry food, along with two bowls of water. The lady that found him provided his rescue with a comfortable bed for him, which he is quite content in. Additional good news is that he tested negative for heartworm, and his fecal and 4-DX were negative, too. He is just the sweetest little boy! If unclaimed, he will be available for adoption when his recovery is complete. If a home cannot be found, he will become a sanctuary dog with Diamonds.

We ask you to please find it in your heart to help this sweet boy. We can't do it alone, but together we can turn Dominique's life around, and let him go on to enjoy his golden years. As always, we thank you for helping us give abused, abandoned, and neglected animals a chance at a happy life.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  `                                                                        `

Updates

  • Less than two weeks ago, our sweet Dominique was brought to us crippled from arthritis, severely emaciated and suffering from a skin condition caused by allergies. He is making great progress and has already gained almost 3 pounds, weighing in at 11.6 pounds now! His skin condition is clearing up, though it will take time for his hair to grow back in and his eyes are nice and clear now. We have an appointment scheduled for Dominique on August 2nd with a specialist to see if anything can be done for his leg and foot to make him more comfortable. He should be strong enough to undergo the surgery to remove his rotten teeth and clean the remaining ones in 3 or 4 weeks. We are so proud of our little boy! He is just as sweet as sugar pie, and remains in good spirits despite everything he is going through. Won't you please consider making a tax deductible donation today to help make Dominique's golden years a little better? We are still short $480 in our goal of helping this little fellow. As always, we thank you for helping us give abused, injured and discarded animals a chance for a HAPPY LIFE!

  • Thanks to your kind generosity. we have been able to schedule Dominique's appointment with the specialist in Murray KY. He will be seen August 2, 2018 at 1:15 to see if anything can be done to help him. We're happy to report that Dominique is gaining weight at a rapid pace and getting stronger with each passing day. It won't be long before he will be able to undergo the surgery to remove his rotten teeth and have his dental cleaning.  He is in good spirits and has made himself right at home with his foster. We are so very proud of our little trooper! Thank you ever so much for supporting this sweet senior and giving him a chance at a brighter future. We are so touched by your kindness and generosity!

  • Dominique is progressing nicely. He is gaining weight, his skin condition has improved, and his eyes have cleared up. It will take a while for his hair to grow back in, but we are confident that it will. He is developing a bit of separation anxiety and does not want to be far from his foster mother when he is outside. He tends to cling close to her which made getting video difficult. He can walk at an amazingly fast pace, if he feels she is getting too far away! Getting up and down steps is difficult for him, but he manages. Despite his problems, Dominique is a model canine citizen and gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. We are praying that we will be able to make Dominique's Golden Years happier and more comfortable for him. Many thanks to all who have donated towards his care and recovery.
