is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

Lexee's rescue and amputation

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog
  • Name: Lexee
  • Color: Sable
  • Size: Large
  • Sex: Female
  • Age: Adult

$70.00 raised of $1,500.00

Lexee was set to be euthanized on July 12th, 2018 at a high kill shelter in Texas. Neglected, abused, or set to live life in pain, she has been mistreated. Lexee is in severe pain, with a very bad injury to her right rear leg and paw, as well as he left rear paw. We pulled her knowing that she would take some time and money to rehabilitate, but it's worth it. Every animal that we can pull off of the euthanasia list, and find him/her a great home where they will be treated like family is a great success story. Lexee, will be no different. Lexee's first round with humanity is kind of bleak, however, we're trying our hardest to ensure that her next brush with humanity is a much happier experience.

Currently, the preliminary diagnosis is that her leg will be amputated at the hip, but by watching the video, you can see, even with the amount of pain she is in, she's still a sweet dog. We are hoping that there's someone out there with enough love in their heart and room in their family for this sweet girl. Lexee is being fostered in a home where she is receiving all the good food and attention she deserves. She is gaining weight and strength and is scheduled for amputation of her leg on  Tuesday 07/24/2018.

We are still trying to raise enough funds to cover Lexee's costs. She has seen the vet, received x-rays, pain medication and antibiotics. She returns for her surgery and will be spayed at the same time. Then Lexee starts her road to recovery! Please consider helping this sweet girl.

  • Lexee has been on supplements and pain medication for the past 2 weeks. Unfortunately she has only gained 1 pound since leaving the shelter. She is currently being kept comfortable while we continue to get her into the best possible position to get the amputation done. We thank you for the continued support.

  • The photo is of the current x-ray and condition of Lexee's right leg.

Lexee's is gaining strength and has put on a couple much needed pounds. She has a ways to go so the amputation is being postponed until next week. We feel like it is better to let her get stronger before putting her under anesthesia. Please continue to share Lexee in hopes of funding getting her back to a happy pain free life, where she will be ready for adoption into a forever loving home.
