Recently, we were asked to save 8 little puppies from a home in Texas. When we asked for more details, we discovered they were what most refer to as an "oops litter".
This means the parents bred unintentionally. Sadly, this occurrence is common in states that do not have spay and neuter laws.
Mom is a Husky and Dad is a Golden Retriever that were living outdoors, and they had a litter of puppies that the owners could not take care of. They were planning to drop them of at a high kill shelter, which is better than the dropping off in the middle of nowhere that usually occurs. Others give them away for free to malicious people that will use them for bait, food for other animals, or other terrible plans.
We wanted to end this vicious cycle, and we offered to spay and neuter both Mom and Dad as well as rescue all 8 little babies. We also wanted to rescue Mom and Dad, but that was not an option.
Now, we need your help. The bills to get Mom and Dad fixed are right around $650. Every dollar counts and helps to spare some lives in the future from being born and thrown away like trash. Please consider donating to help stop this vicious cycle.
