is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

One of our temple dogs, Horn, was recently attacked and bitten in his eyeball leaving him with an extensive wound.

Horn is one of our many temple dogs that we visit and take care of each week. We don't know exactly when or how the bite happened but it is a deep wound and getting worse. The vet didn't say where the bite was but today we saw a hole in his iris. His eye is a mess and very bloody so it's been difficult to see the wound clearly.

Not only does he have a hole in his iris, but it is infected and blistering. He doesn't seem to be blind but is in great discomfort. We are taking him back for a check up and we will get more information from the vet then. We hope that he does not go blind and we can save his eye. We are doing everything we can to keep the area as clean as possible to prevent further damage. We will update you when we learn more about this poor boy's wound. Please consider donating to Horn!

  • Today our vet took Horn's stitches out from the eye where he'd been bitten leaving 2 holes and swelling from infection. The vet sedated him and sewed up his eye for a week saying it would give it a chance to heal itself. The hole has healed and the swelling has gone. The vet said Horn has a good chance of seeing with that eye again but it needs another 2 weeks to heal well.

We've been washing and putting antibiotic cream on his eye all week and bandaging it. Horn has been very good about wearing the horrible collar which has stopped him rubbing and scratching his eye. We'll continue his treatment over the next 2 weeks. Fingers crossed it will be a success and he'll regain full sight.
