Dillon was found as a stray, a very sweet and docile senior boy, about 40 pounds. We don't know how long he was on his own or if this was how he lived at his “home”. Dillon is anemic but now on iron supplements. He cannot see very well but knows people are around and that he is loved and getting the very best care possible. He started on a NSAID for his arthritis and we are really hoping it helps Dillon to feel more comfortable. Amazing but he tested heartworm negative. We took him to the vet and for a bath immediately and now Dillon is safe, inside, less stinky, fed, and most important loved. Dillon is in a permanent foster home where he can live out the rest of his life as an adored and cherished family member.
His foster family says Dillon is like a pinball, he walks into things, bounces off and keeps going. He doesn't appear to be able to see or hear. He has had no accidents, they just take him out regularly. He walks around a lot, basically until his legs give out and he slides down. His foster family holds up his bowls so he knows where they are, they just got him raised bowls. He is a big loveable mess!!
GRRALL will be responsible for his ongoing care but he will live out his remaining time with a family who will love and cherish him.
