Sweet Treasure is an eight-year-old, three pound chihuahua, that was dumped in the trash.
Luckily she was found and brought to the shelter where Precious Pals Pet Rescue was able to take her into their care. When she was rescued, she was already unable to walk, but somehow her spirit kept her going. They took her to the vet and had an x-ray done of her back. As her rescue suspected, Treasure has an old fracture to her spine.
It's heartbreaking to think of the many years she has had to deal with this injury, all because her owners neglected to get surgery done. It's too late for surgery now, but what they can do is have Treasure work with a physical therapist to receive laser therapy and do strength training activities to help ease her pain and increase mobility
Treasure has been amazing with how she gets herself around. She can now walk to her bed and climb in, get to her food, water bowl, and potty pads. She also loves to follow her foster daddy everywhere. We have seen some great improvement, and we have faith that with further therapy, she will only get better. Additionally, she does needs her dental and spay done. Her rescue is working on raising funds for both her continued therapy, along with these necessary procedures.
Treasure deserves to have the best life possible, and that is just what we are striving to give her. Please donate to this amazing girl either through monetary donations or gifts from her wishlist.
