Senior dog month is hard enough knowing that there is an entire month dedicated to Senior dogs but to know what happened to Maslow is even harder. Maslow had a dad. A dad that abandoned him in an apartment with a roommate who didn't take care of him. Eventually the roommate surrendered him but not before Maslow became emaciated from not being properly cared for. Maslow is 14 years old and need his food to survive, instead he was basically starved then dumped in a high kill shelter to meet a certain fate. Luckily we saw him and knew he had to be with us. Maslow went into one of our hospice foster homes and had his vet check. He has some old man lumps and bumps and a slightly elevated liver enzyme. He is a very slow guy who right now just wants to sleep as he heals. Maslow deserved better and we will make sure he gets whatever he needs. Please consider helping Maslow.

We want to say THANK YOU for helping us reach Maslow's goal almost immediately, and going beyond that. We are so very grateful for this community of supporters. Maslow is doing great, and is in the best of hands. He's also making friends in his foster home that are keeping him company during his recovery process 😍
