Rescuers from Compassion For Canines were notified and immediately set out to get this girl treatment. Lemon Pie remains to be mild mannered and trusting, despite the humans that have knowingly failed her. 

Found running down a neighborhood street, AC officers quickly picked this sweet girl up before she could suffer any further damage. However, when they got close enough to see her, they were horrified at how depleted and decaying she was. Her body had lost most of it's hair, infections raged on all parts of her flesh, and she was so incredibly frail. It looked as if she could snap so easily she was so thin. As you can see from her photos, her skin sags off her body as if it has no life and no nourishment. We can only imagine what her insides look like.

AC officers then searched her for any identifying qualities or microchips and discovered that she had been adopted out into a family about 9 months ago. Her condition is not a result of short-term neglect, but rather long-term, indicating that her 'owners' never really cared for her upon bringing her into their home.
