Harper was originally found as a stray and was never claimed by anyone, so she has been waiting at Legacy Humane Society for a family who will take her home and give her lots of love while she gets treated for the worms painfully taking over her heart. Sadly, Heartworm treatment is a very long, painful, and expensive process.. the shelter is not the best place to start it.
Once in an amazing home, Harper desperately needs a series of painful injections into her heart through her back, followed by a course of steroids to aid in her recovery.
