a look back at {{ data.pet_details_extra.name }}'s story
One of Buster’s three owners before Nichole was homeless and often relied on donated pet food from the local animal shelter, so we understand firsthand the power of these programs. The shelter had made food available to the public on an as available basis for several years, a lifeline to those in need and is part of what eventually led Buster Brown to his last home and the reason Buster's Paw Prints exists.
In 2021, we formalized the pet pantry at the Tehama County Animal Care Center, and established satellite locations at the PATH (Poor and the Homeless) Day Center, Corning Senior Center, and Rancho Tehama Community Church. We also provide pet food and supplies at all free vaccine and microchip clinics hosted by the Tehama County Animal Care Center.
By providing this food, we aim to prevent low income and homeless residents from surrendering their pets due to a lack of resources. As funds allow, we have provided minor veterinary care to established pet pantry clients. With support from animal lovers, we can expand our services and ensure that the most pet families possible have access to our support. Please consider making a donation today.
