Colt can not have his surgery until we can afford his surgery. We are in Desperate need of help for Colt.
Colt is an 8 year old, male, American Cocker Spaniel that was left at a shelter when his owner could no longer care for his needs. They were not met while he lived there, and we are not sure if it was sheer negligence and care or if the owner just did not have the capability of understanding ear cleaning and proper diet for a cocker spaniel. Needless to say his ears are calcified with all of the scarring from his ears not being cleaned and cared for properly.
Colt's masses have already been removed (non cancer) and we have tackled those ears with what is known as a Double TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation). Colt is no longer in pain and continues to be as sweet as can be and he gets along great with his fur-sibling and is very well mannered. He definitely deserved this new life without the chronic ear pain, and lots of love to be given to him. Many thanks to all of the caring people who helped support his fundraiser. He is a sweet and happy boy who just wants to be in a home of his own. He loves to be outside and has great house manners. He likes other dogs. How much more perfect can he be?

Colt's needs were neglected for years. He has been suffering from skin pain, masses growing painfully on his chest, matted hair and completely calcified ears that cause him to constantly be in pain. If you could imagine your whole body hurting and no one doing anything to help you, that would be Colt's life as he knew it.
