URGENT help needed now with our first rescue of 2019.
Today one of our volunteers witnessed this sweet little kitten be struck by a vehicle. Although the driver did not stop our volunteer did. She worked quickly to stop traffic and saved this baby from being struck again. Once our volunteer evaluated him she realized his injuries were pretty serious so she dropped everything and rushed him to the nearest vet.
This little man who we are now calling Olaf was actually extremely lucky. He had no life threatening internal injuries but X-rays showed that his rear leg was completely mangled and the attending veterinarian recommended amputation or euthanasia. The cost of amputation... $1200!
We have an appointment tomorrow for a second opinion with a doctor who we regularly work with but in the meantime we need to raise some money for our unexpected rescue. Little Olaf is in a lot of pain and although he is getting strong pain meds he needs surgery urgently and we need your help NOW to be able to help him.
Please donate now & help Olaf on our website SavingSageRescue.org
No amount is too little because it all adds up and helps us save lives.
This just happened so we have been scrambling to get him the urgent care that he needed. We will be posting a fundraiser and the estimates from the attending doctors as soon as we receive them in writing.
If you can't donate we do understand but please take the time to share. Sharing let's us know that you care. Thank you in advance for your continued support.
