Doctors can't remove the tumor or her leg because it'll just spread too fast so the only thing her rescuers can do is put her on meds and oral chemotherapy. Clinicians hope the tumor will shrink and that she might gain another few months to a year of life... In the meantime, they plan to create a bucket list for her...
Rescuers really don't know the full story of Wanda and how she got to this point in her life. On June 19th, the finder of Wanda discovered her hanging around at a construction site with cut paracord tied around her neck. She took her to Animal Foundation but it was full and they told her that they would just put her down if no owner came forward or a rescue didn't pull due to the lump on Wanda's leg. The finder didn't want to take that chance so she posted Wanda on Facebook looking for help.
VPRP stepped up to help but unfortunately, luck was not on Wanda's side…that huge lump on her leg turned out to be a Mast Cell Tumor that is growing rapidly and spreading and it is pretty aggressive. Our only hope was to try to shrink the tumors and fight the cancer with Prednisone, Pepcid, Benadryl, and the oral chemotherapy medication called Palladia. These efforts might help her gain another few months to a year of life. Rescuers have decided to go ahead and do this because she is only 2 years old and currently is a very happy girl in great spirits so they just couldn't let her go right now without trying.
If you can support Wanda to try to beat this cancer and give her time to fulfill her bucket list then please donate below and thank you for your kindness and support. Wanda's medical including biopsy, cytology, bloodwork, and consults have already cost the rescue about $1500. And her monthly cancer meds and bloodwork to check progress will cost about $600. So any help is greatly needed and appreciated!!

Wanda has tragically a pretty aggressive cancer that's metastatic and fast-spreading...so fast that there isn't any time to waste. She is only 2 years old...
