Major was returned to the shelter after he developed health "issues" post-adoption. This poor baby was adopted from BARC as a kitten and was turned into the shelter in HORRIBLE condition yesterday.
The staff at BARC had to double-check the microchip number because they could not believe the cat turned in was the same cat that got adopted in 2019.
Rescuers went to see Major this morning, and they cannot believe that this is the same cat. He looks HORRIBLE! he's positive for sarcoptic mange and FIV positive. The owner told staff that the cat “ran away” for two months and came back looking like this and so they turned him in because of his condition.
He is scared, he is shut down, and HE NEEDS US. Major needs someone to remind him what it feels like to be loved.
Please consider helping Rescuers with Major's medical care needs, or by donating a much-needed wishlist item! We've got you now, Major, let's do this!
