DR Doghouse Bully Crew Rescue was very understanding of the previous owner's situation and promised to ensure Champ’s safety. Quickly rescuers got this adorable dog over to the vet to be fully assessed. The first vet claimed Champs's back leg was only bruised, but extremely worried rescuers decided to get a second opinion. The second vet confirmed that Champ's ACL was torn, in which surgery is needed in order to mend the ligament properly. On top of that, Champ seems to be having an allergic reaction that is causing him to have some skin issues.
As of right now, Champ is safe and awaiting the game plan for treatment. Rescuers have assured us that Champ is in the best possible care and is being tended to as needed. Champ seems to be happy and playful despite his current situation.
We are asking for donations to go toward Champ's ACL surgery, as it is extremely expensive. Champ needs our help in order to regain his strength to be a candidate for adoption. We desperately need to get Champ into his forever home, but we cannot do it without your help. Every dollar made is equal to one comfortable step Champ takes on his fully restored leg. In addition, we are in need of items from his wishlist to help along the recovery proccess. Thank you in advance to every benefactor involved in Champ's case.

Champ is a beautiful 2-year-old pitbull who has had a rough start in life. The ultimate sacrifice, Champ was an owner surrender after the owner left a difficult marriage and wasn't able to bring him with her, but also refused to leave him there. Limping, confused, and now homeless Champ wasn’t sure what his future had in store.
