When Duffy was found in an abandoned strip mine, all evidence made it clear that he had been abandoned. This particular area is known as a dumping ground for unwanted pets, and Duffy was now one of them.
When rescuers with The Arrow Fund found him, he had lost all use of his back leg. He has wounds on his right front, and back legs, which leads us to believe that he had been tossed out of a car.
He then had to be transported 3 hours to The Arrow Fund’s vet, but they could not complete the trip because he was in too much pain, so he was taken to Medvet in Lexington. He has had x-rays taken, and it was determined that his hip is dislocated. Now, he’s being transported to Louisville for surgery.
Despite all of the pain he is in, he is still such a sweet boy; giving everyone kisses, tail wags, and a whole lot of love. If you are able, please consider donating towards Duffy’s care. Thank you.
