Spotted dragging her hind leg down the busy MLK Freeway in Fort Worth, Texas. With nothing but a mysterious past, Buttercup seemingly was confused and pain-riddled, wandering around but not using her hind leg whatsoever. How a sweet little goat made it onto the freeway in a busy city is a mystery.
Luckily, Buttercup was spotted by a team of rescuers at Animal Hope Pet Adoptions. Shortly after, they were able to coax over the injured young lady, load her into their car, and swiftly take her to get the care she needs. Within minutes she understood she was being helped and immediately started to calm down on the trip back to their facility. Once there, they realized not only was there is a serious infection in the injury in her hind leg, but her hooves are so overgrown that they are twisting and making it even harder for her to use her feet. Rescuers quickly took her to the vet to ensure she could get her hooves trimmed, as well as have her injury looked at.
Currently, Buttercup is still with the vet, as they are trying everything in their power to ensure they do not have to amputate her leg. Rescuers have promised us she is in the best care possible and they will be updating us as soon as her health increases.
We are asking for donations to go toward the medical care and day-to-day care of this lovely goat. Please find in your heart to lend a helping human hand to this furry farm animal in need. With small donations, you can help ensure Buttercup gets every medical issue tended to so she can go back to frolicking freely. Thank you for your endless love and support!
