When rescuers at Animal Hope Pet Adoptions first laid eyes on Lil Red at Fort Worth Animal Care and Control they could easily see this poor soul was hairless but knew this poor boy was not hopeless. Many baths, medications, and TLC could relieve this good boy of his itchy skin.
Lil Red has lost all of his hair and almost all hope due to Demodex mange and secondary skin infections. He has suffered and gone untreated for so long, this poor boy is very close to being completely bald. His skin is not the only reason to be alarmed though, Lil Red's lower legs and feet are swollen and his eyes are leaking discharge.
