He was taken to the vet to be X-Rayed to have a better understanding of the damage he so obviously had. His spine was snapped and they asked if Rescuers Without Borders would take him. Of course, they said yes! Little did they know the severity of his injuries until they arrived.
Not only was he paralyzed but he had wounds all over him. They rushed him into the vet and they immediately started working on him. His temperature is 99.3* and he has ticks/ fleas covering tip to tail, his wounds are so badly infected that his skin is necrotic. She took more X-rays and his spine is indeed broken.
His back leg is very swollen with infection. He had an ultrasound and they also placed a catheter in and he finally had his bladder emptied.
He will remain hospitalized and hooked to IV antibiotics and pain medication. He will have wound flushing/cleaning and bandaging several times a day. During the cleaning, he will receive a pain injection to ensure he is comfortable and doesn't experience pain.
Rescuers said, “Out of all my years in rescue and all the special needs dogs we saved....this one is truly the hardest on the heart. We will keep everyone updated on his medical condition, but we will definitely need help to cover the expenses.”
If you would please consider donating to Myles and his care? It is extremely evident that this boy has experienced no love or care in his life. The person who promised to protect him and love him is the one who turned his back and literally threw him away… We want to show him that people can be GOOD, and KIND. Unfortunately, he may not understand our words, but he will definitely understand our actions. He will understand that people are working around the clock to make sure he is okay and comfortable, he will understand the gifts of a bed/food/toys that maybe he has never had before. We can do this for him, any amount given or wishlist item purchased goes directly to Myles and his care…We thank you for being willing to support him!

This is very hard for us to post, and maybe even harder for you to read. Rescuers were contacted about a dog that one of their volunteers found. This little paralyzed baby was thrown out like trash into a dumpster by the owner. Yes, you read that right, by the owner. (For now, that's all we can say regarding that situation as they will be pressing charges as soon they can.)
