We were tagged for help in a local dog group about a little puppy named Raine. An owner posted needing rescue for a 3-week old puppy, they stated that the puppy could not use its back legs at all. They mentioned that they had another puppy who was born with a deformed skull and eventually passed away. She did not want this one to pass away and reached out for help.
So we immediately stepped up to the task, drove to her location, and took the puppy to our rescue. While there, we asked questions to see if the pup could have been injured at all, vs. being born paralyzed. The owner didn't think any injuries occurred to the pup. But what we do know is that at 2 days old, the owners had the tails docked. This is something that can cause paralysis but the Vet will need to determine that.At just 3 weeks old, this little girl has to fight for her life. She will need to be bottle-fed, needs to get X-rays and be seen by the Vet to determine what's causing her paralysis, and will need to have her tiny bladder and bowels expressed.
Right now we need to get her seen and get much-needed supplies here to care for her around the clock. We truly appreciate any help to give this little one a fighting chance at life!!!
