When we were contacted about Wink, we knew this was a serious case of life or death. Wink is a tiny black kitten who was found at a park in Compton with a ruptured left eye. We're not exactly sure how little Wink sustained such horrendous trauma, but we knew we had to act quickly in order to save his life.
We rushed little Wink to the vet for emergency medical care and learned that his ruptured left eye could not be saved. Without any other option, vets successfully removed Wink's ruptured eye to prevent infections from spreading to the rest of his fragile body. Little Wink will need to adjust to life without his left eye, but at least we were able to save his precious life.
Unfortunately, Wink's surgery was extremely expensive! We operate solely on donations and we are currently running low on funds. We are relying on our generous supporters to help raise enough money to pay for Wink's eye surgery.
Please consider helping little Wink by donating to his medical fund or sending a get-well gift from his wishlist, such as food, treats, toys, and supplements. The Cassie Lee Cat Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations are fully tax-deductible.

How does a stray cat with a ruptured eye receive medical treatment? Sadly, the cat can't take itself to the vet or heal itself through mystical cat magic. Without the help of a rescue like ours, a traumatic eye injury would surely kill an innocent street cat.
