Consequentially, our rescuers are getting calls every day from residents who find tiny kittens roaming the streets and want to bring them to our rescue for care. Without proper medical attention and shelter, most of these precious kitties don't survive on the streets and end up dying from illnesses, starvation, heat exposure, and the number of predators in Florida, including eagles. hawks, owls, raccoons, snakes, foxes, and coyotes. Most of these dangers are preventable if we can get the kitties into our shelter, but we certainly can't save them without your help!
These babies are expensive and we are in desperate need of funds. The average cost of caring for each kitten is outlined below, including shots, spay & neuter, and wellness checks. This does not include any additional costs associated with labor, food, illnesses, or any other issues that naturally occur in tiny kittens.
-Spay/Neuter with shots: $100 each x 40 kittens = $4,000
- Second Round of Shots: $261 / 25 doses = $10 x 40 kittens = $400
- Total Standard Expenses for 40 Kittens = $4,400
With your support, we can save more kittens this year. Please help us bring so many wonderful kittens into the world RESPONSIBLY by helping to limit the spread of illness and unplanned pregnancies in the cat population.
Please consider helping us care for these kittens by donating to their medical fund or sending a critical supply from their wishlist, such as food, litter, and toys. Second Chance Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations are fully tax-deductible.
