We established The Yamac House, a loving sanctuary for abandoned senior dogs, as well as dogs with medical complications and behavioral issues. To date, we've built over 75 dog houses that provide solid shelter for Turkish street dogs.
However, we operate solely on donations and don't have enough funds to continue saving these precious animals. As it stands, we are overcrowded and don't have enough room to house all of our rescue dogs. To combat this, we started building another shelter in Texas that costs over $62,000.
The Hope House is a building named after our very first paralyzed dog Umut, which means Hope in Turkish. Just like how Yamac opened up our rescue to senior hospice dogs; Umut opened us up to the love of saving paralyzed dogs facing euthanasia or death in the landfill because of being paralyzed.
We deal with a large amount of paralyzed and special needs dogs that require expensive medical treatment and mobility devices such as doggy wheelchairs. Unfortunately, the rescue is drowning in medical bills and it's getting nearly impossible to stay afloat.
Unfortunately, without proper funds, our founder had to use a personal credit card to cover a large portion of the cost of The Hope House. The foundation is done, building is up, electricity is ran, water lines, insulation and inner walls. All of this has cost $62,000 so far. We still need to purchase items for each room, a hot water heater for the dog bath, and finish the clinic room.
These poor dogs count on us for survival, but our lack of resources may be our ultimate downfall. That's why we are desperately relying on our generous supporters to help raise enough money to continue saving sick, injured, and disabled dogs.
Please consider helping these sweet animals in need by donating to their medical fund or sending a get-well gift from their wishlist, such as food, treats, and supplements. Rescuers Without Borders is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations are fully tax-deductible.

Thousands of dogs are dumped and die in Turkish landfills each year, and thousands more are dumped across the USA in kill shelters.
In Corum, Turkey, abandoned dogs deteriorate atop mounds of garbage in a massive landfill that also serves as an infamous graveyard for sick and injured pups. Additionally, hundreds of special needs, senior dogs and hospice dogs are dumped in kill shelters across the USA.
Since 2017, we've rescued nearly 400 dogs from the landfill, as well as countless of dogs dumped on Texas streets and kill shelters. We also provide food and medical support to over 1,500 dogs still suffering in both the landfill and remote Turkish villages.
