You see, at some point, they’d decided Mushu had served his purpose. That he was done being a part of their family. So they proceeded to lock him up in his crate (with absolutely no food or water we might add) and DUMP him into the dumpster outside of the apartment complex. He took the last bit of strength he had to cry just loud enough for someone to hear him. 😔 (NOTE: POLICE DO HAVE AN ACTIVE INVESTIGATION OPEN)
Thankfully, the Good Samaritans who found Mushu squatting in his crate, buried underneath piles of rotten, stinking garbage could not stand to leave this boy's future in question. They knew, Mushu deserves SO much better than this and immediately called Animal Control officers for help.
Pictured (above) is the airline carrier Mushu was found in (detectives placed the water bowl in there for him, but he was too lethargic to drink out of it). He is emaciated beyond belief. We have cried and we are angry.-- How?! How could anyone do this to a voiceless animal?! And yes, those are trash bags full of dog poop THROWN in there with him…thrown away like yesterday's trash… 💔
Today, Mushu is receiving IV fluids, has received X-rays, and is getting Rebound (a supplement) as well as all kinds of vitamins. We are still waiting for blood work to come back, but right now we know Mushu has a high WBC (which indicates infection or toxins). Doctors will be running additional bloodwork today for this. He also has Pancreatitis and an abdomen full of gas, but the GOOD news is that he is alert, and for that we are so happy.
Mushu will remain hospitalized until further notice to receive the care that he desperately needs. He is still too weak to stand for more than a few seconds but boy, he is one heck of a fighter! Please help us, help him. We can not thank our Village enough for helping us save this sweet, innocent boy. 💙 #JusticeForMushu

How anyone could turn their backs on this beautiful, undeniably deserving angel without so much as a second thought is something we can never, and will never, understand. Yet, this poor boy IS in this position: Because, you see, Mushu's reality consisted of being welcomed into a home, and into a family––just to end up purposely forgotten and left for dead.
