The owner went weeks without feeding the dogs and allowed them to reach a point of extreme, skeletal emaciation. Eventually, Ramsey's friend crumbled away and died of starvation. By the time we rescued sweet Ramsey, his body had shriveled down to a twiggy skeleton and was quickly shutting down. This poor boy had never enjoyed a solid meal, lived indoors, and received unconditional love and affection. Little Ramsey is slowly putting on the pounds, he came to us at 32 pounds and currently weighs 39 pounds. Although he's still far from a healthy weight. However, his refeeding process must be done slowly and incrementally in order to reintroduce food to his system without overwhelming his fragile body.
We are doing everything in our power to help poor Ramsey but we operate solely on donations and don't have enough funds for his critical medical treatment. We're relying on our generous supporters to help raise enough funds to save precious Ramsey.
Please consider helping sweet little Ramsey by donating to his medical fund or sending a get-well gift from his wishlist, such as food, treats, and supplies. Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations are fully tax-deductible.

Many dogs can technically go about 3-5 days without food, but only if they have access to clean drinking water. After 48 hours without food, a dog should be taken to the vet to check for other signs of illness, such as vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or weakness.
Poor Ramsey spent his entire life locked in his owner's backyard with another tortured canine.
