He is literally nothing but skin and bones.. he is one of the worst we have ever taken. He was COVERED in fleas, his skin is hairless in most spots, his feet are calloused and inflamed, and, if it were possible, we'd have guessed his body score to be in the negatives…
He clocks in at only 42 pounds, when he should weigh at least 20 more. His teeth are either already missing, or are so rotted they now need to be removed. His face is sunken in on both sides and his bones are almost protruding out of his skin (especially his butt bones)…. He wobbles when he walks and falls over quickly, as he is not strong enough to walk very far.
But despite it all, this boy is SOOO grateful for everything. He is beyond gentle. He SITS for a treat and waits so patiently for you to give him one. And while he is very weak and dealing with so much, the GOOD news is that he is eating, drinking, and absolutely melts in your hand for a good ear scratch.
We urgently need help to support Frankie, as his list of medical needs is already a doozy. He needs medicated drops to knock out his ear infection and treatment for his severe Mange- in addition to bacterial skin treatment to address his secondary infection. He needs fluids, X-rays, and bloodwork (including a 4DX blood test to rule out Heartworm or any tick-borne diseases). And even beyond this, he needs more diagnostic testing to help doctors answer all of the unknowns.
Frankie is, without a shadow of a doubt, a warrior, and we could not love him more. So, without further adieu, please join us in giving this boy a VERY warm welcome. He needs a LOT of help, so every ounce of support is extremely, extremely appreciated. More updates to come as we learn more about this sweet boy, thank you so much!!

Sometimes, the world works in mysterious ways… 🙏 Yesterday, we were driving through a small town when a good samaritan informed us of a poor boxer boy, who had been roaming around the area in absolutely horrific shape… 1 hour later, and we were out and about, searching for him on foot.
A rescue friend joined to help with the search and we canvassed the areas, looking down every alley and into every crawlspace, until we finally spotted him in someone's yard, eating scraps of food off the ground. But when we got up closer to him, it was like nothing we could have imagined. He was SO much worse than what was described. Our hearts were broken… He was just broken.
