In case you're not familiar with this genuinely compassionate celebration, Giving Tuesday is a global movement created in 2012 as a way to encourage people to give back to nonprofit organizations and celebrate selfless generosity.
Giving Tuesday is observed on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and aims to spread joy, love, and kindness to those in need. In fact, Giving Tuesday in 2021 raised a record $2.7 billion in the United States alone, with much more donated around the world.
Rescued Pets Movements is a Houston, Texas-based organization that has saved over 74,000 lives since its founding in 2013. On average, we rescue around 11,700 animals every year, which means that we go through A LOT of food.
We do our best to provide rescue animals with everything they need to recover and thrive, but medical care and supplies are expensive and our facility is currently at maximum capacity. In addition, we transport dozens of cats and dogs to their forever homes on a weekly basis. We transported over 77 cats last week alone!
Please consider helping us give back to Houston's homeless animals so they can have full bellies and happy hearts. You may also show them how much they're loved by sending a get-well gift from their wishlist, such as delicious food, fun toys, and health supplements.
Will you help give an animal a second chance at life this Giving Tuesday?
