Halfway Home Animal Rescue Team

Halfway Home Animal Rescue Team, founded in 2019, is an all-volunteer group of experienced, passionate and dedicated rescuers and advocates with a common goal….To truly make a difference in the lives of all animals in need. We focus on animals that have been discarded, abused, those with special needs, and the seniors. Our mission is to provide animals recovering from traumatic circumstances with temporary sanctuary and a nurturing environment for rehabilitation; a place where their medical, emotional, behavioral, and nutritional needs are met on an individual basis and their lives are enriched so that they will not only be ready to find permanent homes, but will have the greatest chance of succeeding in those homes. We come to the aid of all animals, both domesticated and wild, in crisis, whenever realistic. We have no time limits for any animal. We are committed to giving every animal “as long as it takes” in order to find the new home that they deserve. We partner with local rescues and shelters as we are stronger working together. We transfer rescued animals to a breed or species specific rescue or sanctuary if they are better equipped to care for the animal, find a permanent home or offer an enhanced quality of life. Rescue is not a business...animals are individuals...not numbers. They are all special in their own way, and each deserves the chance to show us who they truly are. It is up to us to provide them with that chance.
