Rescue Alliance

Rescue Alliance is a cat rescue organization that was founded in Gonzales, LA, by a group of passionate cat lovers who were dedicated to saving the lives of felines in need. Over the years, the organization has expanded its mission to other areas of animal welfare. In response to the growing need to help pet owners struggling to feed their beloved animals, in 2019, Rescue Alliance started the Louisiana Pet Food Bank. The program aims to provide pet food and supplies to people in need throughout Louisiana, and it has rapidly become an invaluable resource for the community. The Louisiana Pet Food Bank operates as a separate division of Rescue Alliance, thanks to generous donations. Volunteers and staff at Rescue Alliance work tirelessly to fill orders from underserved communities, and provide information about spay and neuter programs, animal health, and welfare. The Louisiana Pet Food Bank provides a vital lifeline for pets who are at risk of being surrendered or abandoned due to their owners' financial hardships. By providing this essential support, Rescue Alliance and the Louisiana Pet Food Bank are ensuring that pets remain in loving homes with their families. Rescue Alliance's dedication to animal welfare and compassion for pet owners who need help ranging from supplies to acquiring their forever friends is a tremendous asset to the animal welfare community. They continue to change animal welfare activism and remain the go-to organization for feline rescue not to forget their efforts of supporting pet parents through their Louisiana Pet Food Bank program.
