Newnan-Coweta Humane Society (NCHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to eliminate animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect in our community through education, promoting the adoption of rescued animals into permanent homes, improving awareness of spay and neuter programs to end pet overpopulation, promoting respect for the lives of animals by establishing a no-kill philosophy, and to provide leadership in support of animal rights legislation.Though we are not Coweta County Animal Services, we work closely with that organization and many more to be as impactful as we can. If you'd like more info about the Coweta County Shelter, please click here. We also host a Pet Food Pantry to support our Coweta residents who need a little extra help with dog and cat food or litter for the month! This is held the first Saturday of every month from 8-11am at our building, Pokey's Place!
