Tiny Kitten Abandoned Outside A Store With A Shattered Leg Is Now Loved And Home… Thanks To YOU!

Thanks to your support on CUDDLY, this tiny kitten is HEALED! Xena was a tiny kitten left alone outside a store with a shattered back leg. She cried out in pain for days with no one to help her. Now she is pain-free, full of spirit and curled up in a forever home of her own.

Xena’s journey began with heartbreak. We believe someone dumped her in front of a store and left her to fend for herself. Her back leg was completely broken. For days she went without a single drop of pain medication, yelping and meowing as loudly as her teeny body could, waiting for someone to notice her. 

Finally, a kind person finally found Xena and took her in to foster. They contacted our rescue so we could help get this tiny kitten healed and ready for a forever home. For the first time, she was warm, safe and in gentle hands. At her vet visit, the news was hard to hear. Her leg was too badly shattered to save. To end her pain and give her a chance at a full, happy life, Xena needed her leg amputated. 

The costs added up fast. Surgery, anesthesia, pain medication and recovery care all came on top of the rescue year we’ve had, and we couldn’t carry it on our own. Every hour mattered for a kitten in that much pain. We asked for your help, and you answered. You gave Xena the chance to live up to her warrior name.

Our girl came through her amputation surgery bravely and went home to recover with her foster family. That was a turning point we won’t forget. “She’s as happy as can be,” her foster mom told us. Losing a leg hasn’t dimmed her spirit one bit! CUDDLY also sent Xena plenty of wet food to fuel her healing, and she loved every bite. Like so many three-legged cats, she quickly showed she wasn’t going to let anything slow her down. 

Then came the news we’d been hoping for. Xena had an adopter lined up! After everything she had been through, her happy ending was finally in sight. 

Today, we’re thrilled to share that Xena has officially been adopted, and her new family adores her. She went from a frightened kitten crying in pain outside a store to a beloved companion in a home of her own, and her transformation is nothing short of remarkable.
