is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

Save Dukes Paw

  • Breed: Basset Hound
  • Name: Duke
  • Size: Medium
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Senior

$535.00 raised of $1,000.00

Duke was surrendered by his family after 11 years because they could not properly take care of his medical needs. Duke is heartworm positive and has a horribly infected paw.

We go back in a month for another check up. The Dr is not happy with the progress of his foot. He is going to talk to the dermatologist tomorrow but he thinks there's some deep cysts in there and we may have to do surgery at this point.

  • We have just found out that Duke has Lymphoma. It is a slow growing type but cannot be operated on, His paw remains in bad shape, but is slowly responding to treatment.

  • Duke is going to have to wear special orthopedic boots, they are very expensive, but he is worth every penny.

  • Duke is back on antibiotics for 2 months and a scar tissue reducer for 2 months as well. We have to buy him TheraPaws. Basically, his foot is deformed and his body is trying to make a new foot pad. Walking on the hair is causing irritation and this causing a foreign body reaction. Once the secondary infection is taken care of they hope him wearing the little boots will be enough. If not, surgery is next.

  • Duke was in a lot of pain last night, so he is now on strong painkillers and they are hoping to get him into the specialist over the next few days. His paw is being soaked in Epsom salts, and re bandaged daily. Poor boy is in so much pain, it's heart breaking.
