UPDATE on Hannah: Surgery performed...went great....she is in foster....and doing great. Look for the video of the amazing 3 legged Hannah! Hannah was brought into Orangeburg County Animal Control yesterday with a broken leg that was beginning to rot. For some reason no rescues stepped forward and when we were there today at lunch, the decision was made to put her to sleep. Well we acted with our heart and not our head. We had hoped that she would see vet they could put her on antibiotics until Monday and then we could have the leg removed. But once the vet saw it, they said it needed to come off now. And that vet does not do emergencies. So we now we faced with at least a $2100 vet bill for the leg removal because it's Friday after 5:00 pm. This dog just licks your hand and loves on you. How can we just let her die? Please help us! This was not in our plans! And we are in tears.
To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now
"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.READ MORE

Hannah's leg was removed yesterday. Her toes had begun to turn black so there was no waiting. We got a call from the vet this morning and she was doing amazing. Hoping around on her three legs like a champ! Thanks for all your help so far. We are still waiting on the final bill.

It's going to be long night. The emergency vet had to sedate her to clean the rotting flesh from her bones. Tomorrow the amputation will follow. We are heartbroken for her.
