is now

To better serve our animal-loving community as we move into the future, we plan to expand our offering. And in the process, we thought a name change was in order is now

"Cuddly" is how we feel about animals and it's how animals make us feel. That being said, while there are many upcoming changes, our mission remains the same. We aim to help animals around the world live better lives through innovation, community, and kindness. Thank you for being a part of our movement and, now, the family.

Eaten Alive by Flies

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier
  • Name: Heart Breaking Puppy
  • Color: Blue
  • Size: Medium
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Baby

Emaciated, hairless, with wide open, bloody sores. The flies are feasting on him; he is being eaten alive.
He doesn't want to move. Every time he moves, more flies come after him.

He is currently flying to Dallas where he will be taken to the emergency vet right away. We will update with all medical info as soon as we possibly can. Please skip your coffee today, and put it toward saving this innocent life.  He deserves so much more than a dark empty shelter cell. He's been laying there without AC, just rotting away while maggots are growing under his skin.

I don't think my heart could be breaking anymore than it is now, but we need to help this puppy!

  • There's no doubt Boone had a busy day yesterday, but he couldn't be any sweeter and patient through it all. He's curious, and adorably sweet after a quick bath, no?

He did make it to the vet and while it was confirmed he has sarcoptic mange, it was also a safe assumption that he's littered with internal parasites (hookworms/roundworms). He's got both ear and eye infections, and it was discovered he has a grade 2 heart murmur.

For now, he's going to get plenty of dewormer, food, and care for his skin. We'll keep you updated!

  • He has been named Boone, and he is exhausted from his travels. Boone is now feeling the gift of safety.

  • Our fly-eaten puppy, BOONE, now has a name AND a new best friend!

This gentleman's name is John. And John is a volunteer pilot with Pilots N Paws and has flown many missions helping to save animals. He heard yesterday about how we were trying to get this puppy up to us for help, and he quickly rearranged his schedule to accommodate. Thank you, John!

They just took off from S. Texas and will be here in a couple of hours!! We are so very thankful to Pilots N Paws!

  • This is the face of rescue. This sweet puppy is so happy to be out of the shelter, he knows his life has been saved and he is so very thankful. He will go to the vet to be completely checked out, start meds and begin his road to recovery. Please continue to help this sweet innocent pup while he is healing.
