Sage is a one-year-old English Bulldog that came into rescue with an extremely painful and unattended ACL tear in her left back leg after her owner surrendered her.
She cannot walk properly and is forced to limp everywhere she goes. She cannot bear any weight on her leg due to the incredible pain that she is in. She sits or lays down most of the day. Clearly, this is no condition for a one-year-old English Bulldog wanting to play and run like her foster brother. This injury has caused too much pain and suffering for Sage, and now she needs an TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy). Our rescue is extremely low on funds, especially with the influx of surrendered and stray bulldogs throughout the Southern California region, and we still have so many more bulldogs that need medical procedures and emergency care. Sage has her whole life ahead of her, and it would be heartbreaking to see her never bounce back from this terrible injury.
Sage's surgery will be a complex fix of her injury and allow her to continue the rest of her long life with the full use of her leg again.
Please help us give Sage a second chance at being a playful and happy pup for many many many years.
