Max is a sweet senior Dane that lost his home when his owner killed herself. He was so sad and shut down when he arrived we didn't know if he would ever be a happy dog again. Slowly over the weeks he came out of his shell and started trusting his foster Dad and learning to play with toys and now he is SUCH a happy happy boy! Well luck was not with Max as we noticed him limping and when we got x rays done we found out Max has bone cancer. This sweet boy does NOT deserve this and we are determined to make him as better as we can! His treatment will start with an oncology consult and most likely chemo and a possible amputation. We are not giving up on Max and want him to have the best life he has left! He will be a sanctuary dog and we will pay for all his medical needs and care for the rest of his life but we NEED your help! Any amount is appreciated and donations from his wish list would be awesome as well! Help us help Max!

Max is doing well and is living his best life...the best he can with that C word! He had a consult with a oncologist and they said if we didn't amputate then they couldn't do chemo. Well we don't feel an amputation is something Max wil tolerate. SO... we have a friend who is an oncologist and she doesn't agree with what the other oncologist said so he is going Monday for a second consult with a doctor in Charlotte. We are hoping to do chemo and long with the bone strengthening injections he is already getting. Along with some herbal supplements to support the inflammation in his body and to help with any paid. He is the most wonderful boy and we want him to be here as long as he can and be pain free and happy in that time. So we thank you all for donating to Max!!! We haven't quite met our goal so no donation amount is too small! Merry Christmas and Happy Howlidanes for MAX!!!
