Belladonna Rescue & Sanctuary has seen it all and despite the amount of neglect these animals have endured, our commitment remains the same: to provide each and every one of them with nothing but love, care, and safety. However, when the medical bills start mounting, this provides a variety of challenges.
For those new here, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit farmed animal rescue and sanctuary located on the outskirts of West Lafayette, Indiana. Belladonna was founded by Nick and Caitlyn Rhorer in 2020 when they adopted their first four pigs from Kanda Farm Sanctuary. From there, it just kept growing! In 2021, we became an official nonprofit sanctuary for farmed animals. Currently, Belladonna is home to a variety of animals including pigs, sheep, chickens, roosters, bunnies, dogs, and cats.
All of these guys you see pictured were rescued from severe neglect and/or hoarding cases. They are living their best lives now with us, but as you can imagine, their health had been neglected for years. So, as we approach spring, we will need to get all the animals vetted with exams and vaccinations to ensure they continue living their best lives - and we desperately need your help! Every single dollar you are able to donate makes a difference in these animals’ lives. Thank you in advance for your support, you make what we do possible!
