God will always keep you safe, happy and healthy in His kingdom 🙏
For the entire three months that Lexi has been on this earth she has been passed around from person to person, never receiving the help she was desperate for as she battled a deadly disease.
Our rescue is heartbroken, sad, and angry for our newest member. This poor baby was passed around and handed down three times before a Good Samaritan with a huge heart alerted us of what was going on. Sadly, no one wanted to take on a dangerously fragile, 3-month-old, 6-pound baby girl. But...we knew she deserved more!
After seeing this poor girl's photos and videos, and hearing the beautiful words of our friend's plea, we knew immediately this was meant to be. Lexi was a TLC K9 girl, through and through. And now, she is here and she is safe, but she is also very, very sick. She arrived to Rescue this past Sunday night with severe and bloody diarrhea, so we rushed her straight to the ER for treatment and diagnostics.
Thankfully, Lexi's Distemper test came back negative, and the triple gastric test for Giardia and Coronavirus also showed negative, but, unfortunately, her snap test for Parvovirus shows a very slight positive line. We are still waiting for Lexi's Coccidia and bloodwork results and will keep you all updated once we have the results. For now, she will remain in the hospital with IV fluids and supportive care until she is stable and her vitals are better.
With that said, we ask that you please kindly consider donating to Lexi’s ongoing care and medical bills as she continues fighting for her life. Any amount will go a long way in helping us give Lexi all the resources she needs to successfully overcome this terrifying situation, thank you!
