Bonnie is currently in her wonderful foster home where she has been soaking up all the TLC, yummy food, and snuggles she can. She will never have to worry about where she will rest her head at night or when or what her next meal will be. So, if you would like to join Bonnie on her new journey, then please consider donating to her ongoing care or sending her a much-needed item from her wishlist. Thank you so much for your love and support, you make what we do possible!

Back in May, we were alerted about a bunny who had been heartlessly dumped out at a park along the Alum Creek Trail in east Columbus. After weeks of multiple failed attempts and climbing through bushes and mud, we are happy to report that Bonnie is now officially safe with us and her new life has begun!
Understandably, because Bonnie was terrified, this VERY clever bun was using wildlife tunnels to elude capture and then appearing just out of reach to taunt our team! Just as we were about to pack up and give up for the day, she popped out one more time, and we took one more shot. Well, thanks to teamwork and fast net-handling, Bonnie spent that night in complete safety and comfort for probably the first time in her life.
When Bonnie arrived at our rescue in May, aside from being malnourished and riddled with parasites, she was shockingly, decently healthy. However, Bonnie has had some ups and down — including developing a head tilt from a parasite called Encephalitozoon Cuniculi — but, she seems to finally be on the mend. Our vet also believes Bonnie is only about a year old, so more than likely, she was probably somebody's 2021 Easter bunny or pandemic pet, and when she reached maturity and started being aggressive or destructive because of hormones, they probably set her loose to fend for herself.
