It took a couple of weeks for two of the others to be caught by people who saw them and stopped to help, but unfortunately, the last one got hit by a car and didn't make it. But because a kind and determined person took the time to help, these three girls are safe. The rescuer removed all of the ticks and fleas from their poor, malnourished bodies, fed them, and brought them into her home, but she knew she couldn't take on three more dogs, so she reached out to our rescue for help. Because she was willing to foster these sweet girls until they were fully vetted and adopted, we were able to commit to taking them to our rescue.
As of now, we will be setting up spay appointments, getting their vaccinations, and placing them on heartworm prevention to make sure they are healthy before they are adopted. That said, we ask that you kindly consider donating to their ongoing care medical treatments to help spare them from suffering any longer. We will keep you all updated as their little bodies heal, and we thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!

Imprisoned in a farm field under the rising texas temperatures, these pups could not escape the heat that filled their every breath with the scorching air that left them barely breathing.
These sweet girls were abandoned in Robstown, Texas, in a farm field. The finder knew they wouldn't survive long in this brutal Texas heat, so she and her family knew they had to act fast to try to catch them. The only problem was that the pups were scared and kept running in the farm field and into a culvert, making the task extremely difficult. So, they set up a kennel on one side of the culvert, fashioned a long stick to help push them towards the kennel, and even crawled in themselves to coax the pups out. And after hours in the hot sun, they could rescue 3 of the 6 pups and left food and water for the remaining pups.
