Ten horrifically emaciated dogs and puppies were seized from the backyard of a condemned house deemed uninhabitable by local authorities. Police were alerted of the gruesome scene by a concerned neighbor who was frightened for the health and safety of the animals.
The animals were kept outside in metal cages in the backyard and wreaked of urine and feces. They are all dangerously emaciated and dehydrated, their bones are showing, and they are caked in filth.
The poor dogs are full of nasty wounds and need emergency medical care, but they were so relieved when we rescued them from deplorable living conditions. The owners could be facing violations because of the conditions of the house, while humane agents work to determine what charges they may file.
We are doing everything in our power to help these precious dogs in need but we operate solely on donations and don't have $1,500 for their critical medical treatment, supplies, and lots of food.
