We couldn't just not do anything; we had to step up to give this poor baby the second chance she so deserves.
Our volunteer has already picked her up and she will be arriving sometime this week in the DFW area from South Texas. Unfortunately, little Cupid weighs only 3 pounds and is absolutely covered in mange, with her skin being like leather about 1/4” thick. She was dehydrated when our volunteer stepped in and administered Sub-Q fluids on the scene; however due to the thickness of her skin, it was made much more difficult than normal. Her eyes were even sealed shut from the mange, making it so she could barely open her mouth.
This is just the beginning of a long recovery road for Cupid, and she could use all the love and support to help her along the way. Once Cupid is healthy enough to withstand intensive treatments and surgery, she will go in for a full workup, diagnostic tests, vaccinations, and spay. But first thing's first: Tackling Cupid's skin issues, and getting some fur sprouting on that cute lil' wiggly body of hers!
Your donation could make all the difference for sweet Cupid – please consider giving what you can today to help her get the care she needs! Our goal is to help cover the cost of vet care, surgery if necessary, exams, etc., so that we can give this pup a wonderfully happy life after everything she has been through. Thank you so much for your generosity!

Unwanted, unloved, and unseen. That's how this undeniably special girl went through life…up until just last week. In fact, after letting her deteriorate to this condition, her former “owners” went so far as trying to dispose of an innocent life by locking her inside a Good Samaritan’s patio grill.
