Welp, we’re back at the vet, and this time it’s for our absolutely perfect, sweet, goofy, affectionate, and loving Chappie. For those of you who may not remember, Chappie and his sitter Bella were dumped at the south LA shelter after their owner of seven years got a new boyfriend who didn’t like dogs. Chappie was doing well, until now.
Chappie had been doing great with his amazing fosters! The other day though, they noticed a growth on him. Before much could be done, the growth ended up bursting and fluid came bursting out. $1350 later, and Chappie is recovering from his growth removal, while the rest of us wait impatiently for his biopsy results back.
The vet suspects that it could be cancer, but as there are different types of cancers, we will need to wait to see what type of treatment he will need. That being said, we will keep you all as updated as possible!
If you’re able to help us with Chappie’s vet bill, we would be so grateful. We’ve been strapped tighter than ever, and every large bill has the potential to really hurt our rescue. Additionally, we are in need of supplies to help Chappie recover and would be so thankful for any item off our wishlist to be donated to our sweet boy. Every bit of help makes a real difference!
