After helping almost 2,000 animals in need, Animalluvr’s Dream Rescue is more in need than ever before with close to $30,000 in medical debt and hardly any available foster homes. This is a desperate plea for help, as we will be forced to close our doors if we cannot pay off our debt and find a way to support the animals we have in our care.
Working in rescue, each day we are faced with animals suffering from trauma and tragedy. What’s even worse is that we are often forced to turn away animals in need because we do not have enough available foster or funds to provide adequate care. Our organization is made up entirely of volunteers who are committed to providing the best care possible for our rescued animals. Since our organization was founded in 2012, we have worked tirelessly to pull as many sick and injured animals from local shelters as we can, get them healthy, and help them find their forever homes. We have been able to help almost 2,000 animals in need to heal and find their adoptive families. However, our situation is now more urgent than ever before.
We currently have several large dogs in our care in need of vetting and fosters, but we are critically low on funds and available foster homes. We have accumulated close to $30,000 in vet bills, and we will need to consider closing our doors if we cannot raise the money in time. Caring for critically ill, injured, and abused pets until they can find their adoptive families is what we do, but we won’t be able to continue this work if we cannot pay our vet bills. We are desperately pleading for your support. Cecelia Nieves, the founder of our organization, had an extensive background in veterinary medicine and was determined to help as many animals as she could that required a wide range of treatments. Many shelters and rescues turn away severe medical cases because they are too complicated and expensive to care for. Without us, there is no one to care for these animals.
This is an emergency situation. We already have several animals that we have committed to caring for, not to mention the thousands of animals in our community that need help too. Without more foster homes and funds, we will not be able to continue caring for these animals in need. Please, if you are able, make a donation to our fund, or contribute any items from our wishlist. We are more in need now than ever before, and no amount is too small. We and the animals in our care are eternally grateful for your compassion and generosity. Thank you.
