2 weeks, 14 days, 336 hours, 20,160 minutes. That’s how long these 4 babies had to suffer, without a mom, without help. Every passing minute stealing any bit of hope left in their hearts. Left all alone because someone didn’t want to drive to get them; they knew they were there and made the active choice, day after day, to not rescue them.
Without being in Tijuana ourselves, we are often reliant on those who are. Unfortunately, these 4 little lives didn’t seem worthy enough to anyone there to make the drive out to rescue them. For two weeks these babies were left alone before anything was done about it.
When they finally were rescued and taken in, by no surprise it was discovered that they all have Giardia. This is a common parasitic infection that is caused by living in feces-saturated soil, unclean food, and contaminated water. This is just a cruel reminder of how deplorable the conditions that these babies were living in were. At just 7 weeks old they had to fend for themselves and try to survive. Without intervention, they likely wouldn’t have lived much longer.
Though it is clear not everyone would agree, we strongly believe that each of these 4 puppies has a life worth living. They deserve to not only be healthy and have a fair chance at life but also to be loved and well cared for. Please join us in showing them what life can be like.
We are in need of funds to support their medical care and transportation to the US, as well as supplies to help get them back on their paws. Anything that you can give will help tremendously and be very much appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
