Blind, Toothless, And Living With A Heart Murmur—Desperate Senior Was Pulled From A Hoarding Case Be

We have a wonderful update on Theodent Toothpaste! He has been adopted and is looking great! He has come a long way from the matted pup we rescued. This was all possible because of you! This sweet senior boy has made a stunning transformation, and he has found his forever home. It's all thanks to your support right here on CUDDLY.

Theodent's journey began with heartbreak. He was roaming the streets with his fur soaked and hardened with urine and feces, and bugs crawling across his skin. The smell of infection and decay clung to him so strongly that our rescuers feared the worst before he was even examined. At just 14 pounds and around ten years old, this fragile senior had clearly gone without care for a very long time. He was exhausted, mentally shut down, and so broken that it was hard to imagine how long he had suffered unnoticed.

But the moment he entered foster care, the real Theodent began to shine through. He attached himself completely to his foster mom and followed her everywhere. When she left the room, he became visibly anxious, as if he was terrified of being abandoned all over again. Beneath the dirt, fear and neglect was a gentle little soul who simply wanted someone to love him.

Then the full extent of his medical needs began to unfold. Veterinarians suspected a grade four heart murmur, and he urgently needed senior bloodwork, X-rays and a cardiac evaluation to find out which treatments were safe for him. His mouth was in terrible shape, with several rotting teeth that likely caused him constant pain. He also needed to be neutered and professionally groomed after months without even the most basic care. It felt like one challenge after another, but after seeing the way this boy melted into human affection, we refused to give up on him.

With your help, Theodent got the care he so desperately needed, and he is feeling so much better. He also got the full grooming he had gone without for so long. The matted, filthy fur that once trapped him is gone, and he looks absolutely amazing! Seeing him so clean and comfortable, looking like a brand-new dog, was a turning point we will never forget.

And then came the moment we had been hoping for all along. Theodent has officially been adopted! The frightened senior who once stumbled the streets alone now has a family of his own, and he will never have to worry about being abandoned again.

Thanks to your contributions and support through CUDDLY, Theodent received the diagnostics, the care and the second chance he needed to reach this happy ending. You took a dog the world had walked past and made sure he would know warmth, comfort and love in his golden years. Thank you for standing with Theodent every step of the way.
