Kitten Dragging A Paralyzed Leg Across A Highway Is Now Zooming Through Life On Three... Thank You!
Kitten Dragging A Paralyzed Leg Across A Highway Is Now Zooming Through Life On Three... Thank You!

Wallace is now zooming through life on three legs thanks to your donations! Wallace was a tiny, injured kitten scrambling across a busy highway, dragging a useless leg behind him as cars rushed past. Somehow he survived. Now he has found a forever home, a brand-new name, and a life full of zoomies. It's all thanks to your support right here on CUDDLY.

Wallace's journey began with heartbreak. A local delivery driver spotted him trying to cross a four-lane highway near the grocery store in our town and sprang into action. The tiny kitten had a painful wound on his head, blood around his mouth, and his right front leg trailed uselessly behind him. We may never know what happened to him before he was found, but it was clear this little boy had been through a terrifying ordeal. And yet he was still fighting…

At the vet, Wallace was diagnosed with dehydration, hookworms and radial nerve paralysis in his right front leg. The nerve that controls movement in that leg had been so badly damaged that the limb could no longer work. X-rays showed no fractures, but the damage to the nerve appeared to be permanent. Veterinarians told us Wallace would eventually need his leg amputated once he was old enough and strong enough for surgery.

So we focused on helping his tiny body recover. We treated his dehydration and his hookworms so he could start gaining weight and building strength. His medical team monitored him closely as he grew, preparing him for the surgery that would give him the best chance at a comfortable, pain-free future. It was a long road for such a little kitten, but Wallace never stopped fighting.

When the time came, Wallace underwent his amputation, and he never looked back. Freed from the leg that had only ever held him back, he took off and hasn't slowed down since. Today he gets around even better than he did on four legs!

And then came the moment we had been hoping for all along. Wallace has officially been adopted! His new family gave him a name that fits his unstoppable spirit: Vash the Stampede. He is doing fantastic, and from the way he races around, the name couldn't be more perfect.

Thanks to your contributions and support through CUDDLY, Vash received the veterinary care, the medications, the surgery and the second chance he needed to reach this happy ending. From a frightened kitten dodging cars on a highway to a happy tripod stampeding through his forever home, his transformation is nothing short of remarkable. Thank you for standing with him every step of the way.
