Little Whiskey once faced a harrowing life on the streets of Louisiana, tormented by cruelty. Found all alone and surrounded by speeding cars, Whiskey experienced unimaginable suffering. Locals often threw heavy objects at him, and someone even attempted to poison him with rat-laced meat.

His ordeal didn't end there; he was struck by a baseball bat, shattering his front leg. For over two months, Whiskey took refuge beneath ruined buildings by day and emerged under the cover of night in search of food. This poor baby!

Local rescuers were determined to save this courageous pup. They set up cameras and live traps, patiently building a routine to earn his trust until, at long last, they took them in. The sight of him was utterly heartbreaking, and we knew that urgent work needed to be done.

When Whiskey entered our care, he weighed only 12 pounds. In addition, the severe trauma to his leg required amputation. Despite the hurdles, Whiskey's resilience never waned. From the moment he entered his new home, he radiated love, affection, and joy. Even on three legs, he can now run, jump, and twirl with unbridled joy.

Today, Whiskey’s transformation has inspired everyone who has had the privilege of witnessing his journey. He shares his home with a cat named Zeke and one of his best friends, Ollie. Whiskey’s incredible journey would not have been possible without the incredible outside support we’ve received from kind-hearted individuals like YOU!
